I watched the first ep and it just didn't suck me in. I have several MLP friends, and a Brony or two. I'd LIKE to get into it, but it just hasn't done it for me.

It helps to think of the first two episodes as being Lovecraft with ponies. But yeah, if the first few don't grab you, it's probably not worth the bother of watching more. It's one of those things where you know pretty quickly if you'll like it.
