Summary: Kota Yabu likes Hikaru Yaotome but he can’t take a further step to tell him his true feeling. Until on the last day…
“Huaaaaa~~” Yabu frowned while he was walking to school. It was his 3rd ear for a 2n day as a high school student which in other words means it was a last year for him as a high school student. But he didn’t seem energetic for the first day.
“How bored~ why should I go to school? I still wanna holiday~” he grumpily said. He keeps on walking until he reach to a big sakura tree on the junction of the road. The tree was bloom with beautiful pink sakura flower falls from it. Yabu stop for a while and stare at the tree. He remembered about something that past 2 years ago.
“This is a place where I first meet him,” he thought in his mind and smile in silent.
2 years ago…
“Why is she crying?" Yabu thought in his mind when seeing a little girl crying under the tree.
“Should I approaches her or just leave her? But she look in trouble..." he still thinking but at last he decided to ask the girl.
“Ne~ why are you crying?”
“Nii-chan… my cat stuck on that tree…” The girl sobbing and point to the tree.
Yabu looks up and see a cute little kitten on top of the tree meow-ing. It look scared and unable to climb down.
“Can you help him?” The girl asks with teary eyes. Yabu can’t stand look at her and felt sympathy. He start take off his coat, loosen his tie and climbing the tree. He keep on climbing until he reach to the cat.
“Hey little kitty… come here… I get you down.” Yabu stretch his hand, reach for the cat. He manage to reach it and hold it in his hug tightly.
“Chiharu, what are you doing here? You suppose to be in school now…” Suddenly a voice can be here from bottom of the tree. Yabu look down and see a tall guy was talking to the girl.
“Hika ni-chan~! I am going to school but Luna stuck on the tree…” The little girl answers the guy. The guy was Hikaru.
“You are going to school! Why are you bring that cat along?!” Hikaru raise his voice a bit.
“I know… I know…” the girl look on the floor and pouted cutely.
“Anyway… where’s your cat?”
“Up there!” The girl point to the tree.” Hikaru then look at the tree and see a guy hugging a cat on the tree.
“Em? What are you doing?” He ask Yabu.
“Save the cat.” Yabu answer him back plainly. When Yabu was about to climb down, the branch suddenly cracking and “PRAK!!” the branch breaks and Yabu fall.
“Watch out!!” Hikaru scream but Yabu already fall and accidentally, he fall on Hikaru. Yabu bump on Hikaru and fall to the ground.
“Itai~” Both of them grunt.
“Gomen… I didn’t mean it…” Yabu start to apologize and try to get up.
“It’s ok… ouch!” Hikaru reply.
“Luckily the cat is fine” Yabu raise the cat up and brightly smile to the cat. Hikaru who was watching him stunt a bit looking at his innocent smile and smile in silent.
“Here you go~” Yabu give the cat to the girl who named Chiharu.
“Arigatou nii-chan!” Chiharu smile and dash away. She know if she stay a bit longer, her brother will turn to be a monster.
“She's cute~!” Yabu said while gave a hand to Hikaru. Hikaru grab his hand and stand up.
“She just a spoiled kid! Are you going to St. Michael School?”
“Yeah! I’m a 1st ear student” Yabu answer him.
“Same as me then. Let’s go together. I’m Hikaru Yaotome”
“Kota Yabu”

“It’s beautiful ne~” suddenly Hikaru who was already stand beside him said makes Yabu shock and jump a bit.
“Wah~!! You scared me!” Yabu scream in shock. Hikaru was his first friend in high school. He was the first person who he met and approaches him on the first day. And he first meets him under the sakura tree where he was standing now.
“Haha~ gomen! Didn’t mean to shock you. I see you looking at the sakura tree. Its beautiful ne~ I think this is a place where I first meeting you. You were on top of the tree remember?” Hikaru said to him makes Yabu blushed.
“Ma… it is… 2 years has passed since then…” Yabu replied him and look at the tree together with Hikaru.
“Ding Dong~” suddenly they hear a ring bell sound from the school building.
“Yabai! We going to be late!” Hikaru stunt when heard the ring bell but Yabu didn’t hear it because he was in his own dreamland.
“Yabu-kun! We need to dash now!” Hikaru scream to Yabu but it useless. He still dreaming. Hikaru frowned. He grab Yabu’s hand and run with him. Yabu snap from his daydream and realize his hand was in Hikaru now.
“He… he hold my hand!” Yabu said in his mind while smiling sheepishly.
“Are you an idiot? Wake up! We’re going to be late for school! The bells ring already!” Hikaru was a bit irritated with Yabu’s attitude.
“Ehh? School?! The bell ring already?!! Yabai!!! We going to be late!” Yabu just realize it and now he’s the one that pull Hikaru since he run faster than him. Hikaru was confuse with Yabu-sudden-wake-up and smiling while they was running.
“He really is stupid” Hikaru thought in his mind.
Soon after, they reach the school. Luckily they arrive just in time before sensei when into the classroom. They hurriedly when to their seat. Hikaru seat was beside Yabu, the second row from behind, and Yabu place was beside the window.
“Luckily we arrive just in time~” Hikaru said to Yabu while catching his breath. Yabu look at Hikaru and show him his bright smile. Hikaru smile back at him seeing his shining innocent smile. It was amusing him.
Sensei enter the class and starts taking attendance. After done, the class start and everyone concentrate to the class except for Yabu. He put his textbook up in front of him and sleep behind the book.
“Yabu-kun, read the next paragraph please.” Sensei suddenly calls out his name make him hurriedly awake and stand. He didn’t know which paragraph he should read because he was sleeping. He then look at Hikaru who seat beside him. Hikaru smile at him.
“Page 24, Paragraph 3” Hikaru whispered. Yabu nod. Understand what he tries to say. He read the paragraph smoothly and able to finish it perfectly. Sensei was satisfied and asks him to seat and call out for another student.
While Hikaru was concentrate on his textbook, a piece of paper was pass to him from his left. He look at the paper and it was written “Arigatou”
Hikaru look at Yabu and he saw Yabu wink to him. Hikaru just smile and concentrate back on sensei.
After a few hours, the class end. They bow to sensei and he leave the class.
“Ahhh~ sukareta~!” Yabu frowned again. He look at Hikaru. He can see Hikaru keep his textbook in his bag and take out another one ready for the next class.
“I really like you, you know…” he said in his mind. “Ma~ if only I can say it to you…” he keep on mumbling in his mind.
Yabu likes Hikaru. He likes everything about Hikaru. Only Hikaru know him the best even though he didn’t say anything. Once again, Yabu enter his dreamland until he saw someone talking to his Angel. A white pale skin color guy with a cute looking face approaches him.
Lightning start striking, Fire start to flow in Yabu’s blood.
“That guy always get near my angel!” Yabu curse him in his mind. He was jealous. He don’t really mind Hikaru talk with other guy but he can’t take it when “this” guy came. They seem to be more-than-just-a-friend feelings.
“Hikaru~”
“Yo Inoo-chi!” Hikaru greet the pale guy which Yabu was talking about just now. His name is Kei Inoo. He was one of the top student in school. Technically, of course he was so brilliant that make him the top student
Hikaru happily talking with Inoo. He didn’t realize someone was jealous near him. Yabu look away. He look outside the window and pouted.
“Yabu, wake up! You turn out to be a raccoon later if you keep sleeping” Inoo said to Yabu while his hand tap on Yabu’s back.
Yabu lift his head up and stare directly into Inoo’s eyes makes Inoo stunt a bit. Yabu then left the class room without any words.
“Geez~ what’s up with him?” Inoo look at Hikaru. Hikaru lift up his shoulder as a sign he don’t know.
Yabu when to the roof top of the school building. He always go there when he feel unhappy.
“Tsk! That guy!” Yabu start cursing again in his mind.
Hm… I wish I could take your hand and take you out from here… far… far away from him! I wish I could say I like you in words, or mail… but surely I can’t! we are guy. He probably won’t talk to me anymore…”
Yabu look down with sorrow feeling. He can feel the pain in his heart. It stabbing him!
Suddenly something cold was attach on his cheek. “Wahh~!!” again, Yabu scream.
“Yo~!”
“Hikaru!” Yabu shock. “What are you doing here?”
“Looking for you of course… I know you’ll be here when you feel uneasy~ Here!” Hikaru hand a tin of juice. Yabu takes it and open it.
“Ne~ Why you hate Inoo so much?” Hikaru ask Yabu makes him almost spit out the juice that he drink.
“No… no I don’t!” he deny it.
“Uso! I know you hate him. Every time he nears us, you always run away!” Hikaru counter him back.
“Tha… That’s not true! I never run away!” Yabu look away from Hikaru. “The class almost start. Let’s go back!” Yabu said to Hikaru and walk to the door.
“Since when did you care?" Hikaru said in his mind and follow Yabu from behind.
A season past day by day… it’s already March, a month for a student to graduate. All of 3rd year student in St. Michael have past their exam with flying colors including Yabu and Hikaru. Today was their graduation day, and the last day for them to be title as a high school student. After the ceremony, Hikaru when to Inoo and congrats him for being a best student in the school. They happily chat with each other when suddenly Yabu standing in front both of them.
“Gomen for disturbing. Hikaru, come to the back of the school in 30 minutes time please…” Yabu said to Hikaru and walk away leaving them with confuse state. Yabu was planning to tell everything to Hikaru today, to show all his emotion hidden behind his heart.
“From the beginning until the end… I really don’t understand that guy…” Inoo mumble. Hikaru just smile and make an excuse to leave.
Meanwhile, Yabu was walking to the classroom to pack his belonging. When he lifts one of his textbook, he saw a piece of paper came out a bit from the book. He then open the book and see a letter inside. He began to read and tears start to fall, wetting the letter.
I like you…
I want to tell you but I can’t
It’s hard to tell even in a mail
Cause I don’t want our friendship to be end
But today will be our last day together
Well… in this school
I don’t want to end it as a friend
So I decided to tell you about it…
I’m sorry Kota…

A love letter from Hikaru. He fold the letter, put it back in the book and dash out from the classroom. He when to the back of the school where he promise to meet Hikaru.
When he reach the place, Hikaru was already there. They stare at each other but Yabu can’t move another inch to go near him. He can see Hikaru shyness.
“Ne~ we can’t go back to be a friend anymore…” suddenly Yabu said out loud. Hikaru look at Yabu without any words.
“I’m your prisoner, my Angel…” Yabu said with tears. Hikaru smile at him and move forward. They stare at each other and smile.
The soft wind blow with petals of Sakura flower flew together with the wind all over the place. The beautiful flower and a memorable day will never be forgotten by them. A day when they simple graduate from the ambitious, simple, fun day…
