Wow! That is really interesting. That's really cool you got to do that. Definitely write an update if you ever get to see an accident victim.

What you wrote is pretty fascinating.

yeah, she said she had a bad accident victim not too long ago. a man was in a car wreck, was thrown from the vehicle and his head was ran over by another car.

she described his head as looking as a cartoon character's head would, after getting smashed by a frying pan or running into a wall. the face was flattened to about an inch or less. the brains were splattered out on one side. she had to wire the skull back together as much as possible and fill in the excess gaps with plaster of paris. threw the brains away, obviously.

she also encourages motorcyclists to wear helmets. makes her job a lot easier.

Megan, that's awesome! I've always been curious about embalming. In high school one of my friends was a funeral director, and we've been in his embalming room (so cold), but never got to view one. He tried to set me up to view/shadow and autopsy when I was biology major, but it never worked out.

*do keep us updated, please. that's so cool*

Oh, and: miss you.

Have you read Stiff? It's about what happens to our bodies after we die. It was absolutely fascinating.

oooo, no i haven't! i'd like to check it out. does it talk about the breaking down of the skin into a basic, soap like substance?

Yes! And also about the brain oozing out the nose in a frothy purge.
