Ok, this is going to sound weird and slightly stalker-ish, but here goes. So my friend John McGrew asked me if I knew a girl named Lauren who heard about his show from my LJ. And as he was trying to ring some bells with me, I remembered that I used to love to read about when you were going to Costa Rica to work with the turtles (found you through prettykate's page.) Also, I grew up in South Jersey and went to high school with a lot of the Rowan people. So anyway, I figured since we have so many mutual friends, we should also be friends. If not, that's cool too. Um, yeah. So I guess that's about it. Have a nice day!

Hi! I happened to find you on the destinationsome feed, and I saw you were looking for trip ideas. It seems like you like animal related adventures, and one of the trips that we did a couple of years ago was Borneo, an island off the tip of Malaysia. It's VERY cheap there, but it's also safe, the food is good (well, assuming you like Asian food), and you can visit a lot of national parks that have such things as: 1) orangutan rehabilitation centers, 2) some of the biggest caves in the world, where millions of bats fly out in the evening, 3) see the world's biggest blooming flower, 4) dive beautiful beaches, etc...

Another suggestion, is right now the best place for your dollar is South America, so you might like Argentina with it's Buenos Aires, Iquazu Falls, and Patagonia... We're looking into going to Peru next year, but if that falls through, Argentina is our next choice.

Can we be "friends?" You're so nice to lauren that you seem like a nice person to know! I'm a former Joisey-gal living in Philly, doing film, animation & film festival'ing. Pretty boring and work-a-holic-ey, but eh, at least we got a lot of stuff in common!
