So, I'm trying not to stress out right now while applying for grad school. I just kind of feel like a loser because I should have done this forever ago. Who applies for grad school the week the app is due? Part of me feels that since I was irresponsible with this, maybe I should just put it off

Don't let it get you down. If this is something you want to do, you should totally do it no matter how close to the deadline you are. If you need to vent or whatever, I'm done with class at one. Do you want to get lunch or something? I had some errands I needed to run before my lab tonight.

Try googling letter of intent and see what happens. There have to be guidelines some where.
