Eating your way through Rome

Fortified by a bowl of pasta lovingly created out of fresh tagliatelle, baby artichokes brought home from Rome (yay rhyme!) and stupendous amounts of butter and parmesan, I've tackled laundry and some of the newspapers that had stacked up while I was out drinking cappucinos in Rome ( Read more... )

Oh, I agree, being on a diet is just wrong unless you have to be for medical reasons. And being on a diet on vacation is the worst! My parents are always on diets whenever I visit them, but thank goodness, when they come to visit me in sunny california they abandon their diets so they can have a proper good time.

The food sounds lovely. Three weeks until I can start cooking again!

Well I'm sure I'll change my opinion if I get really chubby, but most of the dieters I know are skinny women, so ..exactly. :P

For now, though, my dietary regime consists of butter, cream, cheeses, carbs and fresh vegetables. :)

You can take me with you next time. Being on a diet while travelling is ridiculous adn being on a diet while travelling in Italy is heresy.

I couldn't agree more.. I'll pack you the next time I go to Italy. In the meanwhile we can recreate Rome in the kitchen. I have baby artichokes! And trofie! And a head full of recipe ideas!
