Today I'm learning a new protocol. Bgp=border gateway protocol. It's used mostly to get to the internet. So far I haven't been able to make it work quite as well as I would like. I'm patiently waiting for the bung to have minute and look over my configuration... While I wait I might as well post a bloggy blog ( Read more... ) -

Sleepless Nights
Yesterday was a good day with good news. Today is a bad day with bad news.
It all started at 3am this morning. I am on call and they were making a big change to the lab system at the hospital. Well at 3 am I get a page about the lab needing some of my network services. So I call back and hear that it's two problems and not just one. I fix the first ( Read more... ) -
network card is on crack
so i finished the lab in under 30 minutes. it's a simple OSPF network. 3 routers a lan off of each. one acting as the connection between the other two. Well i got it configured and could ping everything while telneted into a router. i enabled my network card and disabled my wireless to connect to the network i had created. but the second i did that ( Read more... ) -
smooth sailing
I am one of the lucky people. I only have a 6 minute commute to work. I love my commute also because I usually only have to come to a stop once during it. I get on Portland right at 28th. If I maintain a speed of 35-40 mph I don't get another red light till I get to 8th street which is where I turn. I don't think I'll have this easy of a commute ( Read more... ) -

Day 5: Self Improvements
There aren't really many self improvements that I need to make to my fabulous self. :) But after some serious introspection I have come up with these things. Anatomy of a breakup
That happy relationship that I was in has ended. I am still in shock over the whole thing. Now is the time for self improvement and keeping busy till my brain is totally exhausted so I have no time to wallow. Unfortunately for me my brain doesn't tire as easily as I would like.
