Wait, before I go off on some rant about the role of women in comics or how the industry is such a swordfight, let me see if I understand the question properly. Are you asking what we'd like to see on your site, or what we'd like to see in comics? Or both? I'm not the sharpest, so I figured I'd better be sure, lol.
(Also, have you posted this on Facebook? I know people like Scott and Karen don't hang around here as much.)
What would you like to see on the site. How would you like to see the info presented? Gamby asked a question on twitter to define it more and my whole tweet conversation with her is there.
Format - I've seen what you do with Flash sites and I love it.
Content - I think an interactive timeline is a great idea, or maybe a listing of comics/manga women have contributed. Maybe both? I'd like to see interviews, too. And personally I think it might be better if it were something that could be used in an exhibition, but I bet you can do it in a way that would appeal to fans, too.
And not like I'm awesome in the industry or anything, but if you want to ask me any questions, I'll be glad to help you out. :)
I haven't been able to access Facebook to type a message there. I am a total dumb bunny and forgot my log-in. And I'm at work where none of my passwords are.
I'm with Tracy, though. I liked the flash thing you did for Avatar a while back, and I'd be excited to see what you do with this! Maybe make it interactive where people can post comments or vote on their favorite comics made by women? I'm not really sure. Is this an academic/research site or simply a for-fun thing?
Maybe a forum or a place where women can share which comics have impacted them or interviews with women creators on the impact the making these comics has had on their lives?
