Title: Untitled
Disclaimer: Do I look like I can draw? 'Course 's not my creation..
Warnings: Eventual Kyoya/Haruhi, and set in the post-grad-school future. Which means I'll probably have some manga spoilage in it. I don't really watch the anime, so it's just manga spoilers I'm obligated to warn about. ;P
Notes: Um... It's a filler chapter which

The last part of the sentence doesn't quite make sense. Now for the tech part. I don't think a COMPILER would do that, since compilers take the written code and convert it into the executable. A higher level software programmer can answer this question better. Anyway, badly written code wouldn't spawn a mutation. It could cause a core dump. Bad java coding will also result in runtime errors, cause it to throw an exception, and even if it is error-free can have a very long runtime that is cost inefficient.
Other than that, I really like how it's shaping up, particularly her relationship with the twins, which is one of the more plausible ones I've seen to date.

I would totally kiss you, too, if it weren't for the whole me-being-sick-and-not-wanting-to-spread-icky-germs part.
I know nothing of programming aside from the fact that it's cool, and it's my mom's job, so I'll take any hints I can get... Although, I really would like to know if it's at all possible to affect the code between it being written and it being implemented, so that the programmer thinks [and sees] that he's doing everything right on the screen, but everything goes wrong when he tries to run it? [and feel free to bap me for asking too many silly questions. ;P]

Yes, absolutely this happens all the time. The program compiles, but when you run it, other problems show up. This is why you run tests to find these errors before you actually implement the program. Also why Microsoft software is so buggy, and also why the Y2K bug was such a big issue six years ago. They don't catch these mistakes before releasing it to the public. And no, these aren't silly questions at all. At least those comp sci classes I took are going to some use. =^_^=

That it totally useful to know... How do they fix all the bugs, then? o.o Eek! Sorry, unnecessary question... *reigns in curiosity before it does her in like it did the cat*
Haha, maybe I should go take a couple java courses... ^^;;

And your first interpretation was right, mostly... It's a complicated relationship the Hitachin twins and Haruhi share, best described as mostly-platonic friendship. AKA, they could be in love with each other, but they mostly just love each other. I'd actually explain that, but it'll eventually get addressed, in a majorly important way. ^.^
I'm totally stoked you enjoyed the chapter [can you tell I've been reading the VIZ translation of Hot Gimmick?], even if it was mostly character-relations development~
[And of course Kyoya would be proud; he's essentially the one who taught her/created that attitude. ;P]
