I'm not good at decorating. I like to hang items on the walls, from the ceilings, etc., but usually end up with them quite crooked.
Keeping that in mind: I did some redecorating today and hung some of my new acquisitions from Christmas.
My daughter decided that I should be collecting masks. The two larger ones were presents this year -- one from Korea, the other from Malaysia. The smaller she gave me two years ago. The painting to the left is a sand painting from Senegal that she brought me last year.
The drum is this year's gift. The fan was from two years ago (though perhaps I should post the wall fan from Thailand sometime as well). Although the drum is free-standing, it goes with my meager collection of musical instruments:
And the final picture (and probably the strangest collection):
My marionettes. The two oriental ones were given to me this year. I decided to bring the other three from the bedroom, where they had been hanging from a hatrack. Of course, this entailed a massive detangling operation. The wooden dragon picture was one of those odds and ends that Anjee brought with her and intended to give someone but never did -- before she left, she added it to my pile of things to be hung on the walls.
I also updated my NaNoWriMo walls (new certificates and posters) but enough is enough.
