its actually based on a book of the same name by S Hussain Zaidi..
He is an editor in Mid day, a very popular newspaper in Mumbai....

the film is actually directed by Anurag Kashyap, the one who has written the scripts for Satya and Shool...

so basically the film is just a narration of the book, but from the point of view of 2 characters.....

The names are real and no aliases are used....
worth a watch.....
