Afraid I can't take credit for the first stanza-- well, the only stanza:

The song's called Maybe Not by Cat Power. You should listen to it. Fantastic song. I didn't realize it was the next song on my playlist when I was writing about 'being free.' Its timing was peculiarly spot on.

I will, and rightfully so, claim the rest of the entry. :) Yay. Ha.

Check out Tables and Chairs by Andrew Bird. His whole album (The Mysterious Production of Eggs) is good, one of my favorites from 2005.
