Things are changing
It seems strange and
I need to figure this out

But you're all I cared about
Yesterday we were laughing
Today I'm left here asking
Where has all the time gone now
I'm left alone somehow
Growing up and getting older
I don't want to believe it's over
It was too late; it has always been too late. You know that your timing is not perfect, God it is like the worst thing ever, but you can’t believe what you are hearing; you just don’t want to believe anything he is saying.
Of course you understand, you understand his feelings, his dreams and you know how he appreciates his work. You also know how he loves you and how he thinks you are the best thing that have ever happened to him, but what he is telling you makes you feel the opposite…
Leaving? Seriously? Is he leaving just like that? He has changed, you have changed, and nothing is the same anymore. And you are not thinking about your feelings, you know that you two love each other like no one would understand, that’s why you understand what he is saying, his feelings for you remain the same, but now he has other dreams too, he wants to make it big alone and you can’t help but to laugh about it.
No, you are not making fun of that, you trust that he is good enough for the world, you just want to laugh at your own silliness, after all, you haven’t really picture your life without him by your side, and now you are asked to do that. To wake up without his eyes looking at you, without his smile every day, without his voice harmonizing with your voice.
He is good enough for the world, but you don’t know if you are good enough without him.
But even though you would get hurt, you want to grant him his dream, you want him to experience by himself, and you want to see him making it big.
So if you have to let him go, you will. Just to see his shining eyes every time, just to hear that carefree laugh you love too much.
Just for that, even if it’s for the last time, just for tonight, you will hold onto him with all your force and tomorrow, with a renewed strength…
