where all dogs go

My dog, Rozz, passed away this weekend.

He was already sick, and has been for a long time (diabetes), but on Thursday his condition became notably worse. He couldn't walk or get up on his own, and he wouldn't eat and would barely drink. So um, I guess I kind of could tell it was coming...but overall it was just a really horrible experience and I ( Read more... )

Sorry to hear about Rozz. It's really hard to see a pet in such a state. We had a red pointe siamese named Isis who developed some kind of disease and when we took her to the vet they wanted to put her down but we refused and took her home and took care of her so she knew she was loved. If his condition was already bad there was probably nothing they could've done so keeping him home was the best so he could be with the people who loved him.

*hugs* Yeah, he had been suffering for a really long time--in addition to the above, he was also blind and really had trouble just...doing anything the last couple days. It was really heartbreaking and in a way, I'm relieved that he's in a better place now.

But I still miss him so much and I wish things had turned out different. ;_; I'm sorry to hear you had to deal with a similar situation with Isis. I've had friends who have dealt with many pet deaths and they say it really doesn't get any easier ;_;

Now I'm just trying to be with my other dog as much as I can (I do have school during the day, but at night, I'll try to stay downstairs and watch TV with him, etc.)

Thank you so much for your support, and though I didn't get around to commenting on your entries about your cat, I'm so glad she's going to be okay!
