Today was 2 IV drips - the first one started at 60 drips per minute but dropped down to 42 drips a minute, and took awhile to finish - and just as it was nearing the bottom, I heard the nurses chatting about the patients and heard "how's the girl in 8 doing? I didn't even notice as they pulled it out - my arm was still smarting from having three layers of tape ripped off! That was the most painful part of having that IV thing taken out. It was more of a relief to have it off since it was cutting into my skin and extremely uncomfortable to sleep and really any activity that involved my arm.
