Weddings don't have to be expensive, just people make them bigger and crazier than the have to be. Remember my friend Nic, they actually made money on their wedding and it was really beautiful. Nothing crazy or over the top... I think weddings should be special but not something that will put you in debt for years

I don't get the big wedding thing, either. Yeah, there's part of it that might be kind of fun ... but is it really worth all the expense and hassle and the stress on what's supposed to be the best day of your life.
Especially when you look at a wedding where you have 70 guests, and only 5 of them are actually your own friends, and most of them are family you never speak to.

I'm more a fan of the small wedding, the family you're close with, and close friends. Of course, that brings the issue of having family you don't invite get all pissy and snippy at you for it, which has its own stress.
Thus, get eloped, and throw a party after.
