I'm something of a policy wank, and so I know the Bush Doctrine. The idea of invading a country in the pursuit of peace has long been the favorite tool of the aggressor. Georgia, Czechoslovakia, Bay of Pigs, The Mongols, the civil war in "Firefly" - take your pick.
If you want to be one lack of a heartbeat away from the presidency, do your f'in homework on the policies of your predecessor. At least pretend that you want to be able to govern from a position of awareness.
