Lupus?? Seriously??

So today I went to vet to get more food to force feed my poor little kitty and they informed me they had gotten all the results, and they now believe we are dealing with a case of lupus.  So on top of his epilepsy, Neechee has lupus.  It doesn't deteriorate his quality of life, so that's good, but it will be an ongoing med balance, but after having ( Read more... )

Aw! Bless Neechee!! Try him with tuna - but like fresh cooked tuna rather than tinned tuna. My previous cat would refuse to eat sometimes and she'd always be tempted by tuna.

Will definately try that, my sis suggested salmon, so I'll pick that up with it....it's become a challenge now to find a food to tempt him with. I've taken a new strategy of when I do feed, feed him a lot to expand his belly. After weeks of not eating its most definately shrunk. And I feel more comfortable with that than my husband's idea of not feeding him so he'll get hungry and eat on his own (don't want his liver to shut back off)

Needless to say, I'm a lucky kitty mommy to have my little man back!!

I know, seriously, that shit always get crossed off the whitebourd!!

Neechee is living proof that animals in the wild know which young have the best chance of survival. There was definately a reason his kitty momma bailed on him. Her loss, my gain!
