Me neither. I understand the need to get costs under control, but the very people who now hate the Affordable Care Act are the same people who opposed the idea of a government-run "single payer" system. That left the notion of a mandate for people to buy private policies as the only option for getting more people into the insurance pool and bringing down premium costs. Now they're objecting to the idea that the governments says you should buy health care or pay a small fine (slippery slope to fascism!). They should have just opted for single-payer, which was a Republican idea in the first place, but they were hell-bent on defeating any proposal the president put forward at that time.
