I like how this chapter further illustrates how Aiba's heart is "in the right place," to quote Nino from chapter 4. I can't help but chuckle a bit on how Aiba described himself as a "half-decent" man. He's definitely way more decent than the person who hurt Kusunoki, so he ought to give himself more credit.
For some reason I can't imagine how a DoS Aiba would scream on a roller coaster because my mind is interchanging your Aiba for Gozen-sama instead, and I can't fathom yet if Gozen-sama is actually someone who would ride a roller coaster to please a lady. Doesn't seem like a nobleman's pastime. XDDDD
When Aiba mentioned that he wanted a "healthy, happy secretary," I couldn't help but think "You may be the answer to your own request, you idiot. You want to be the one to make her smile, don't you?" But then again it's not like he hasn't tried. XD Maybe he just needs to try harder.
For a pompous boss, he doesn't give himself enough credit when it comes to caring about women, don't you think? He has his reasons and insecurities, but I'm hoping he realizes just how wrong he is as the story continues... :)
Ahaha, if you're imagining Gozen-sama, him on a roller coaster is a funny image xD It may not have been super obvious in the writing, but Aiba also stepped out of his comfort zone during this outing in order to accommodate Shion. <3
