I went to St. L on Monday and did a bit of wine shopping. OK, I came home with an assorted case. And as I was doing this, I noticed that the Rose offerings have increased quite a bit. Which led me to wonder- are we getting away from the fear of all pink wine? Has the the maniacal grip of White Zinfandel (heretic to all that is wine-holy)

Rose has made quite the comeback here in Oz the past few summers. Too many places are still making it too sweet - pink lolly water - but some have 'got it' and make a nicely refreshing drop. T'Gallant from the Mornington Peninnsula make Roses that are very affordable here - although I daresay they'd be premium drops if exported.

It's getting drier and less Kool-Aid like by the day around here, and I must say "Hoorah" for that!
