I have been keeping tabs and commenting, even if not updating with any sort of regularity. There is just so much going on that blogging has fallen a bit by the wayside. But here's a quick gloss

Oh, he so didn't get it. I tried, I really tried. I asked if he could put it up to 11, and he looked at me with this blank stare, and left. Way to inspire patient/doctor trust there.

one of my friends had to get a spinal tap, and i asked if they set it to "11". he looked at me and said "that makes no sense. you're an idiot."
