SO has anyone read/seen the news article(s) on the teachers freedom of speach within the highschools?
There is a huge issue going on within two school concerning tteachers teaching from a political view point.
As far as rights go, do you think teachers should teach this way in high schools?

If the graduation rate was 100% and both sides of the issues were offered, yup, politics would be fine. Not the case in the recent news stories, though.

If students can't have freedom of speech in schools, neither should teachers and administrators. It's either oppression for all or freedom for all.

i think that whatever a teacher teaches, should be taught from both angles. every opinion, every thought, every religion and evolution, it will allow inner freedom to be formed in the student. a freedom to choose for oneself and decide for oneself.
