Soldier down

I found out this morning that a guy I went to school with  died on Monday in Iraq. Raymond Plouhar was a good guy who always stood up for me through out school. Please keep his family in prayer he has a wife and 2 children. One of which I had the pleasure of meeting a few years ago. Raymond was a doting dad who loved his kids and his wife dearly.

Gosh... sorry about your friend.
Very often those people are forgotten. They're the very reason we have the freedoms we do.

A couple of years ago I met the widow and son of a soldier that died in Iraq in the early part of that war and it occured to me that we talk a lot about the price a soldier pays for our freedom but very about the price their families pay which, in the case of a Christian, is far a greater price. My heart goes out to that family and the hundreds like them. I pray that God will grant them a peace and a strength they never knew existed and that we as friends and neighbors would know just how to comfort and support them and be the hands and feet of Jesus in their lives.
