The one thing I learned today is...

Bush has signed a bill to extend daylight savings time by four weeks (three in the spring and one in the fall). Pros, saving millions of dollars in energy. Cons, children might have to wait in pitchblack for school buses. I want to insert a bush joke here, but this one kinda makes sense to me, but I do really hate daylight savings time.

umm. Yeah it sounds kind of good at first. It is really dumb though.
First, he is the President of the United States. He could do a whole lot more stuff that directly impacts energy and the environment.

Furthermore, this plan just sort of hopes that people will use less electricity. When was the last time you showed up to class or work on a sunny day and everybody was just like, lets just use natural light?

GVSU leaves all the lights in their buildings on all day and all night! When I asked about this, I was told that it is so that police/people would notice if someone broke in.
