Even though this is totally not how it happened in the episode; I like your alternative version. I know it meant something to Blaine. I believe it did to Kurt as well in spite of his "just friends" "just a hook-up" attitude. He said that with his mouth but the body language makes it feel like it meant more. And I loved that Burt was in your story. I would love to hear Burt have a heart to heart with Kurt and/or Blaine on the show. He is so underutilized and one of my favorite characters. Thank you so much sweetie! I was a little disheartened when I realized how much was different, and actually thought about scrapping the whole thing since I failed to get it out before the episode aired, but your comment makes me glad that I didn't.

I have faith that the boys will get back together in the end, even if Kurt is adamant that they won't but I agree with you. There's what his head is saying which is what we hear, and then his heart is on a completely different level. I totally believe that we will have that moment when he realizes that. And I think Blaine all ready sees that, and that's why he wasn't more disappointed when Kurt insisted that they were just friends. He knows that Kurt will get there.

anyways, in the mean time, while cannon Kurt is being a stupid head, there's always fanfiction right? ;)
