Freedom. Morgana Devlin let her eyes close and took a deep breath of the air as she stood just inside the grounds of her house. They'd kept her away for several months but someone had seen reason. Morgana had heard something about a change up at the Ministry, a familliar name acending to the Minister's chair and then a note of pardon. Opening her eyes and looking up at the house as the dying daylight hit it's walls, she smiled. More than one thing was going to be put right today.

She regretted having taken pity on the Squib. They generally made good servants, eager to prove themselves helpful in spite of their disability but this one obviously had had bigger things on her mind. Morgana had to give her some credit, the woman actually seemed to enjoy Nicolas' company. After 20 years of marraige, she had nothing but contempt for her husband and avoided his bed as though he might somehow contaminate her. Sleeping with Elaine, she wouldn't be surprised. No, it wasn't the fact that Nicolas had strayed or that Elaine had taken to ( ... )

Elaine heard footsteps approaching and grinned lowering her top some to expose some clevage, hopefully Nicolas would be willing to have a quick liason with her before taking the girls to buy some new toys in Hogsmeade.

"Nicolas your ho--" her voice died on her lips as Morgana Devlin entered the bedroom. Her surprise only lasted so long. "Morgana," she said coldly, although there was a hint of fear there. "I'd thank you not to make to much of a fuss, I just put the children down for their nap, and just what the bloody hell are you doing here anyway? Surely Nicolas would of mentioned if we were expecting company in our home..."

Inch by inch she tried to get away fromt he woman.

She did make it easy to hate her didn't she? "Poor Elaine," Morgana tutted, letting the door click shut slowly and ominously behind her. "How are my children?" she asked lightly. "I haven't seen them in ages now. Though," Morgana half turned and wordlessly cast a silencio on the door, "I do hope you've not been taking quite so good a care of them as you have my husband ( ... )

Panic crept into her mind, the silenco on the door was onimous enough, she had to draw the woman into conversation.

"The children are fine," her eyes were wild, "I...I tried to convince Nicolas into letting the letters Adrian wrote to you be sent off, but, but you know Nicolas, when he has an idea in his head, he sticks with it and cant be talked around it," her eyes were darting around for awhile. "I told him locking you up was wrong, that the children needed their mother, I didnt want to do it Morgana!"

Christ where was Nicolas when she really needed him?

"Have mercy Morgana! Cant we talk about this sensiablly?! I...I'll make us some tea...and we can sit down and and chat, I'll bring the girls and Roman down from their nap, they'll be delighted to see their mother, but please lets just talk!"

Morgana glared back at her husband with fiery eyes. "Your influence doesn't extend as far as all of that, Nicolas. The Minister has been reviewing cases all his own. Someone made sure mine crossed his desk. I hardly think you need to think too long on who it might have been."

She did like to think that perhaps the Dark Lord himself had seen to it she was released. The rational part of her, however, informed her that it was far more likely that any and all Death Eaters that could be legitimately unleashed were being let out. The more the merrier. Finally they had a measure of control over things. It was good to see events swinging in the correct direction.

Her expression turned once again to one of confidence in spite of her husband's grip. "If you thought I wouldn't find a way to communicate with my children then you seriously underestimated me, Nicolas. And your son."

Nicolas snarled and muttered some profainties under his breath. Morgana was back...he'd just simply have to ignore her like he always had done. Nicities after all, must be observed.

"What are we going to do about her," he gesutred to Elaine's dead body cooly. It had been a good run, Elaine a delcious bed partner, but it was her own fault she couldn't defend herself against his wifes onslaught

"You can do whatever you like with it," Morgana said coolly. "You always have."

Nicolas slowly approached his wife, grabbed her jaw (gee...like father like son..) and got inches away from her face.

"I am going to clean up your mess this one time Morgana," he forced a kiss on his wife, not for passions sake, but they lived on baiting each other, and touching his wife was a sure fire way to enrage her. They were even now, she killed his Mistress, and he touched her, something Morgana was sure to consider punishment enough.

"I hope you dont expect to warm by bed and you killed my Mistress in a fit of jealousy," he sneered coldly
