Set in Adrian's 7th year, on his birthday January 6th, a day before they go back to school, signaling the end of Winter Break. (Amorisa is 17, Adrian 18)
Karina, who somehow managed to make lounging on the chaise in her room look as regal and sophisticated as if she'd been sitting straight backed and watching an opera, raised her eyebrow and fixed Amorisa with a look.
"His present, doll?" It didn't even occur to Karina to hide her smile. "Now whatever could that be that would require privacy?"
"Dont make me say it," she muttered, "You're 6 years older then me, I'm more then sure you can figure it out." She looked up, "but he doesn't know, I want this to be a surprise. He's been so..paitent, he's never forced me, not once, I want this to be as special and romantic as possible, and it cant be that way with his mother and sister down the hall"
She knew it was a lot to ask of Karina, and she knew that she would probably owe the girl big time, but there were worse things then owing a favor to Karina whom she loved like a big sister.
"Please?" Amorisa tried again, "You're like a sister to me and I love you to death, I need you to do this for me, I'll do anything, anytime you need to call in a favor"
Karina's smile spread wider and a light laugh escaped her lips. "Oh, doll. You really are too easy; I'm just teasing. Of course we'll vacate the premisise for you." How she would get her mother out of the house, Karina wasn't sure yet but it wouldn't be all that hard. Who knew, Karina might just tell her the truth and Morgana Devlin would more than likely leave just as amused as her eldest daughter.
Adrian's sister rose from her seat gracefully and stood in front of Amorisa, stroking the younger girl's hair. "Be careful, dear." Karina bent down and kissed the top of the girl's head fondly before whispering into her ear, "It gets better."
Withdrawing before her cryptic advise could be questioned, Karina disapeared and soon the two students had the house to themselves.
Dinner was a peacefull affair, but then again, it could of possibly been due to the lack of Nicolas.
Amorisa smiled at Adrian, ignoring the smirking gazes of Karina and Morgana.
"You're Christmas present came today Adrian," granted, his Christmas present to her had come a little late, but Adrian had had her gift specially made and custom ordered, and due to the Christmas rush, it had qulaifyed for a late dilvery. Then again, the delcious green night gown and matching robe was sexy, revealing and beautiful, part of the reason why she had decided tonight was the night. "It was lovely, thank you so much." she smiled at him. "I almost feel as if I should give you your birthday present tonight instead of tomorrow because of the lovely gift"
