Hearing the bell at the door tinkle as it was pushed open (yes, a very primitive, perhaps even Muggle sort of alarm) Karina Devlin emerged from the back room. Her face lit up when she saw Amorisa and she dropped one hand from her mug to walk over and embrace the younger girl with her free arm. "Doll! I was hoping you'd show. And you don't seem too badly harmed," she remarked, brushing a bit of snow from Amorisa's shoulder.
"Come along back with me. Cocoa is your preference, correct?" she asked, already steering her guest past various rows and counters of goods to her private room in the back.
“Coca sounds just lovely, thank you so much.” Amorisa said with a found smile at her. She was so sweet, so kind….so unlike the majority of her family. Well that was an unfair accusation, Adrian could be nice….sometines, and Morgana had treated her alright, but Karina definitely broke the Devlin mode. “Thank you so much for seeing me, I hope you didn’t forsake any time with your family to see me.”
"Oh," Karina waved a carefree hand and handed Amorisa a hot cup, "not at all. Too many of us in one place for too long can be dangerous anyway. For us, more than anyone else, I think." She smiled and gestured to the couch on the other side of the room.
Karina settled in, tucking her own feet comfortably underneath her as she curled against one couch arm. "Come now. How have you been this last month or so? Was that book helpful at all?"
"Well, I'm glad that you all had fun. Nobody um killed each other did they? Who all did you get to see?" Ah then she wanted to know how the month had gone, well she could tell Karina honestly, she liked her, "I...don't know. Did he say anything about me at all yesterday? Good or bad? To be honest...this past month...has been...weird. The breakup, it was bad, so I thought that anytime he saw me...it would be...well, bad. Yet...he's been polite, dined with me once...I don't know what to think. As for the book? It helped, but I dunno if he noticed me reading it or not."
