Hamilton? Do you mean Alexander Hamilton? Because he was never a president. Plus he died in 1804 or thereabouts...I doubt anything he said or did during his lifetime would be applicable to the social issues of today. Of course, if you were meaning someone else by the name of Hamilton, I apologize for the confusion.

I disagree with the basis of funding for this bill. Why should smokers be taxed for it? Increase of taxes will not solve the health care issue. Perhaps reviewing where funds are going already and redistributing it appropriately would be more effective.

That's horrible! I can't even think of the words to adequately describe how completely insane that is!
Maybe they should consider putting a dollar in a jar for every stupid thing he or someone else in the white house does. That should fund a healthcare system for a long while, as far as I'm concerned.

the only bad part about that is, that it would be the government that puts the dollars in the jars, and the government gets its money from taxing its people. so we would be still end up paying the price for polutitions fuckups. and with the tax brachets weighted the way they are now, that would end up killing the middle class off entirely. and the middle class is about the only armour the poor proletariat has, and im guessing the only reason why i am called poor, instead of peasant.

now you know why they call economics "the dismal science."
