the department of energy says there will be no benefit from offshore drilling till 2030.

The highly controversial and potentially permanently damaging proposed drilling in the Alaskan National Wildlife Refuge could provide the U.S. with a whole less-than-300-days'-worth of oil!
And that's assuming we somehow managed to keep it in the U.S., because we all know the companies just sell to the highest bidder.
