oh colleen! i don't even think you know i read this. but you do stick in my head sometimes (although i've hardly known you). i hope you can figure out/find/do what makes you happiest. whatever it may be. you are a pretty neat person. for sure. i'll be thinking about you!
Colleeny I have no idea. But I think that's okay, because I would hope you would ignore my ideas (mostly) and do what is right by you anyway. I know that if I were you I would feel crazy and useless go on long walks and think of running away to Europe for a while. (not that I am saying that you are crazy or useless, but that I sort of know how you feel). I guess I think that you just have to do what you love. "Just." I know--it's not that easy. But you Should tell Meg she is silly and that money is not worth depression.
p.s. the CD you made is lovely lovely. and today i got the Tender Forever CD in the mail and the first song is super good. p.p.s. good luck

I totally understand how you feel. Syracuse isn't as great as I hoped it would be either, but I still don't know what to tell you because I'm probably sticking with syracuse because I'm not brave enough to try something different.
I hope that you can tough it out for awhile (mostly for selfish reasons, you're like the only good friend I've made there!!)
Long story short, first year art classes suck everywhere, but don't let that get you down! You don't necessarily have to do whatever you major in. Plus you still have at least another year before you have to start worrying about your future career!! (on a side note my mother majored in medieval latin, and she has a real job. so, you'll be fine.)
P.S sorry i've been mia on aim, slow internet sucks (mostly because my sister uses it all the time). Merry belated christmas/happy new years!! Hope your vacation was good other than your worries. Can't wait to see ya again.
