I'm not going to lie. That sucks and I think it's the wrong decision. You're losing an entire semest, and you'll have to work harder to get that time back if you want to graduate with everyone else.

I had ofcourse hoped that you would decide that Syracuse was a good place for you right now, but I'm glad you're doing what makes you happy. Now you'll have some time to delve deeper into yourself... discover what you really love and where you should be for the next few years. I'm bummed to be going back now that you won't be there, who will I talk to? I'm so sad. Keep me updated on everything that is going on. You're already missed!
