Aublanc: Orestes
This was a long, plotty action/adventure alien invasion story. I liked the slow build up, the plot, the character voices, and I liked the way Tony and Loki became friends.

Thanks for the rec for "Orestes"! I remember you mentioned that one awhile back, but December is the busiest month of the year at work, and it's taken me awhile to get back into the fannish "swing of things".

I just finished reading Oudemia's "Belonging", a three part series which I very much enjoyed, and was ready for another long piece. I just read the first chapter and I have a feeling this fic is going to swallow up my life this week. :-D Yay, good Loki fic!

I hope you enjoy the story! I hadn't read Belonging, so I may give it a try. :)

p.s. when I say "may" I mean I'll read this story next. :) I really do enjoy good long Loki fics and I know I haven't found them all yet.

You and me both! Agreed, I know there's more of them out there, and I have several copied to my hard drive I haven't even had a chance to start reading.

Have you ever read "The Fools We Are As Men" and "What The Thunder Said" by Clarice Chiara Sorcha?

I found this series about a month after I started reading Loki fic (which was Nov. 2014) and thought it was amazing. It was by far the longest piece I'd read at that point - I've since read longer - and I was immersed in it for several days.

I backburned Orestes for a few days - I got the notification "Winterheart" was complete and I have lost most of my free time for the past three days utterly immersed in that story. Brilliant! I'll get back to Orestes as soon as I've finished "Winterheart", which should be today.

A toast to good long Loki fics...! :-D
