Waiting music while on hold during a bill collector’s call is like the cigarette in front of a firing squad. And it’s a menthol.  ~Amoury

Please feel free to choose from this list of options:
One, I'm glad I could make your day.
Two, I could give a shit, you fucking asshat.
Three, I need about three-ten more hours of sleep.
Or press "0" for the operator, or stay on the line for further assitance. If you are dialing from a dial-up network, please stay on the line for further assitance. I want to get fucking drunk right now.

If they put me on hold they must not really want to speak to me, so I hang up. What's worse is when you pick up the phone and a computer tells you to "please hold for a 'very important call'". Again, if it's that important to them, they'll have a live person on the phone when I pick up. Of course, first they have to make it past the caller ID and voice mail! ;D

LOL, actually, it was *I* who called *them*. I've had to deal with ALL sortsa trouble with this one law firm, because I had to default on a car loan and all. Quite nasty at some points. Had to find out about my court date (today), but it's nothing serious. Just gotta go explain that having less than one hundred dollars in a bi-weekly paycheck (vaca and sicknesses are groovy... well, one is) had hindered me in making at least *one* of my payments.
"Your call is important to us. Please stay on the line, and one of our qualified staff will assist you shortly," *lame music*
I'm just like "Fuck off."

I hate Ford Motor Credit.

In the last two years I've lost over 75% of my income through no fault of my own. I was falling behind in payments everywhere. Their representative suggested I quit making my rent payments and instead pay them, because you must have a car to get to work and I could just live in my car so that I could afford to pay them.

I told them to fuck off!

WHOA!!! That's TOTAL abuse!!
Chrysler-Financial did the same kinda shit to me, too. They could have had this paid for and everything YEARS ago, but they decided to be total pricks to me. When it was all coming down, this one guy was telling me I could have it settled for just over $1,000- in less than three days time. I'd asked if they could wait just two-three weeks, two paychecks under my belt AND my birthday was coming up. He told me flat out, "Oh no, no, no," Well you asshat, it's been over four years since then.
I've made about half the payments, but it's been hard the last few months or so. They'd gotten nicer about it over the years, and I think I foudn the reason why last night. While looking up their number online, I googled their name (Schreiber and Associates, Danvers, Massachusetts). Turned out they got people after them with lawsuits on creditor abuse, lol. Such a change of heart after all that. ;)
