I understand.I just "retired" my 2004 Dell Inspiron 8600 laptop when the hard drive finally fried after 7 years of reliable service.I now have a new Dell Studio 17 laptop.Unfortunetly,I lost a lot of files when the drive died.Never got around to backing anything up.
