I just got back from visiting some colleges. Here are my basic impressions:

Bard - Fuckin weird man. It's a really cool place, and I can totally see myself being happy there. It's about 2 hours or less north of NYC, which is pretty cool. It's still in the middle of the woods, basically, and has a really spread out campus. I'm not too keen on

That's good information. I already planned to visit Bard and Vassar, and I'm not sure if I'm interested in Wesleyan and Brandeis yet. I think I looked, and Wesleyan didn't have some of the majors I want, or something, but I should check again.

I went to Columbia and Princeton over vacation, and they are both fantastic. Like I shouldn't get my hopes up, because they are bigggg reaches for me, but oh my god, they are so good.

Yeah, I liked Columbia a lot when I went there.

You would absolutely love Vassar.

I looked at those colleges!

I really liked Vassar as well, but it wasnt my first choice overall of all colleges I saw. I applied and got waitlisted, which is a major accomplishment! I was really proud. :)

I didn't like Wesleyan, though I'm not really sure why anymore. I guess I just didnt like the feel.

I quite liked Brandeis as well, but I didnt want to go to college in MA, so I didnt apply there.

My mom refused to let me look at Bard because she said that you can fully create your own program and work schedule and everything and that I would get absolutely nowhere with that sort of system. But I wanted to look there, I did. *grins*

When do you have to apply?

I'll be applying by the end of December, though the deadlines are in January. And I don't know if I'm going to apply early anywhere.
