Photos of stuff...

Behind the cut!
It seems Picasa has taken its filesize regulator thingy down, however, the thumbnails are of decent download size, but the actual photo if you click on the image within this entry will take you to a whopping 2MB file. You've been warned!

Taken at 6:30AM, watching the Med Student we were working with go out for an early morning paddle.

There were boats in Dover. They were pretty. It was raining this fine but soaking rain that morning, and I just kept wandering about and finding beautiful angles...

I saw this flower, and while nothing's particularly in focus, and I suspect I had a slight tremor in my hands, I just like the kind of ethereal look to this capture.

Next morning, serenity.

I think I might get this one printed on canvas... Or on cards. But just makes me happy.

Mushroom!

Texture and odd light. Nothing about this image should work, and yet I like it for some reason...

More boats.

Texture and light and dark (have I unwittingly become influenced by Henson?)

In St Kilda there's an antique junkwares dude, and I came across his collection and asked if I could take a few photos. I was pleasantly surprised when he was really happy for me to do so. Regardless, I'm thinking the top image is gonna become my christmas card for this year... Not very Christmassy, but hot damn, it's interesting!

My dad gets very aware of cameras and tries to pose for them and ends up looking quite awkward. I kinda liked that this photo of my niece is so beautifully simple, but that dad also just looks like he is, and is at ease.

Killing Game - coming out of the box... it was just kinda pretty, and I wanted to catch the memory... try to communicate it to the set designer too.

Lights and stuff... the theatre is pretty.

I love low f-stop photography, so I sorta just went around the city to play with my new toy. It's focus is so sharp, and there's a really lovely dreamy quality when looking at some of the more abstract photos, but I'm sure this will carry portraiture beautifully. Next month, I buy my new flash and possibly another piece of glass... but for now, I'm quite thrilled!

(Check out the glow! Not edited, just there. So happy)
