I have been on the phone with the coroner's office and funeral home in Toronto. The coroner told me that they wouldn't release any information to my dad's friends until he had permission from either me or my grandmother since we are the next of kin. My grandmother wants him to be cremated. My aunt asked me if I wanted his ashes and I said no, that ( Read more... )

Did he have a last will and testament? Often it will be stated in there what his wishes were.

*hugs* for you tho :( I can't imagine how hard this is for you.

no, he was a heavy drug user and drinker and pretty much a transient. i think he was avoiding dealing with knowing he was dying.

It is sad you lost your father, that is a pain that can be un-bearable. Please take comfort in knowing htat all his pain is gone and he is in a better place now.

I'm sorry that you lost your father. I'm kinda in the same situation with my own father. He's still alive, but also with Hep C and cirrosis and I am very distant with him. It'd be really weird if he died, even though I wouldn't be shocked if it happened at this moment. That's something that you can think that you are ready for but you never are.

Just so you don't wonder who I am....I found you from doing a search on Roger Waters and you came up on the list of people.

Cheers!

I loved my dad but I didn't know him very well, hadn't seen him since 1998. I saw a picture of him that was takenh last year and I didn't even recognize him.

Ahh. I'd like to say oh he's in a better place now and all that, but, really, I just won't comment on that. At least he isn't suffering.

On a lighter note, I love Roger Waters. I saw him in 2000 in Houston. GREAT SHOW!!! I loved 'Perfect Sense' live, gave me chills.
