at the david ireland exhibit - he had a sound installation that consisted of tin kipper-cans dropped into a slatted wood box.

as a final piece, the tipper cans in the slatted box looked like random jumbled notes on a musical stave.

i realized that night i knew more about musical notation than I thought - it made me want to grab my clarinet
