This may sound crazy but when we've had cats who didn't want to eat we'd buy meat flavored baby food. Try that... and if she still won't eat try putting some in a syringe and feeding it to her that way.

LOL actually that was the first thing the vet told me to do. Have to get formula 1, though and the only thing Target had was 2!! I just heated up some chicken. Maybe I can entice her with that. She threw up just now anyway, despite having an empty stomach. Thank God not on the rug.

Good luck. I know nothing worries me more than a sick kitty.

When my cat wasn't eating, I used Science Diet A/D and mixed it into a slurry with water (you can also use chicken broth--reduced sodium) I put it in a syringe and fed it to my cat.

Given Puppy's problems, it is wise to be worried at this juncture, I'd think.

Hugs and thoughts!

The most important is that she drinks. If she doesn't, squirt water straight to her mouth with a syringe. When my cat was recovering from a sickness and she didn't want to eat anything, I fed her dry bland kibble (her standard) by hand.. and she ate! Also she licked the jelly from a cat food in jelly. You could try foods that can be licked instead of swallowed, like jellied cat food or the greasy broth that you get in the pan when oven baking chicken.

Most important right now is water- but don't go with tap water, that's not good enough hydration. Unflavored Pedialyte [electrolyte solution] comes in 500ml bottles, that lasts a long time. Dehydration causes stronger lethargy than starvation, and it's way more dangerous. Go with 10ML every 2 hours, if that's tolerated, you can mix in a bit of wet cat food slurry, as long as it's a preestablished food, or even tuna water, from a non-drained can ( ... )

Fucking hell, man. I have one stubborn cat. I couldn't find a syringe, so I've been feeding her with a small bottle designed for baby animals. I suppose I should be glad she had enough energy to fight it so vociferously! I haven't been able to get half the recommended dose of pedialyte in her at a time. Took her to the vet yesterday and he gave her fluids and determined there was "nothing wrong with her". So, idk. As of tonight, she's not eating or drinking.

I actually went through this kind of freakout after Joon had her teeth extractions earlier this year... she stopped eating for about a day and was really lethargic. I was able to

I agree with a lot above. One possibility: Nutri-Cal. It's a thick pasty vitamin supplement. Check with the vet first, but if so, it might be a helpful way to get a lot of good stuff into her without forcing too much into her mouth.

Good luck & keep me posted!
