I like my place. I hate unpacking. I need a roommate. I miss Boston a lot.
Pictures of the place next week, when I have an internet connection at home. I don't want to post pictures from work.
The cable guy (for internet, not TV) came on Sunday, looked around, and then said that he had to access a pole on someone else's property. That person wasn't home, so he couldn't legally go in and do whatever he had to do on the pole. He kept saying "Well, I could jump the fence and do it in two minutes, but I'm not supposed to do that. I could get in trouble. Though it would only take a couple of minutes. I just need to connect your wire to the box." When he said this the first time (before knocking on the neighbor's door) I was like, whatever. When he came back, he said it again. And then he wandered around for a bit, and said "Really, it would only take a couple of minutes, but I'm not supposed to do it without permission."
I am clueless. It took me a day (when I was writing a letter to my neighbor asking for permission) to realize that he wanted me to slip him a 20 and just do it. I am not a good briber. (I probably wouldn't have bribed him, even if I had realized that he was asking for one, just because I don't really want to do that.)
Want friends. Want friends who will help me unpack, which is unreasonable. :)
