Are there nocturnal songbirds?

Apr 05, 2009 09:48

Either there are nocturnal songbirds, or one of the birds who lives near me is confused and has insomnia. For the last 5 nights, I've been woken up by a bird at 1AM. And (s)he tweets away for 20 minutes, so it's not just a single song.

Very confused bird. Very sleepy me.

Oh, man, a mockingbird lives outside our window. It hasn't started up this year yet, but last year it was brutal, almost a month.

Street lights on extra bright near you? The Nightengales inGermany tended to sing after dark, but i had not heard any at 1am--but then again, I sleep at night
