"WEATHER ALERT THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A NOTICE FOR THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA. SUMMER 2009 HAS BEEN CANCELED. SNOW, WIND AND CONSTANT BLIZZARD CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE UNTIL NEXT FALL WHEN THE WEATHER WILL MODERATE TO COOL FALL CONDITIONS IN PREPARATION FOR NEXT WINTER.."

I had a friend in Anchorage who once told me she was thinking of moving some place warmer. I asked her where. She said "Maybe North or South Dakota".

Honestly, I think the average winter temperature in the Dakotas is colder!

I know what you're going through - though perhaps not to the extent that you're dealing with. Last weekend we had a blizzard here, the day before the blizzard was 75 degrees, the day after was 50-something. Yesterday it was 80 degrees outside, today it's 45, though thankfully no more blizzards. But this is actually on par for us, Oklahoma weather is just a major fuck-up in general.
