Canterbury, October 2009

Here are my pictures from Canterbury when Dan and I visited in October of last year. Captions are above the pictures.

On our way to the entrance of the city center

The entrance

A gorgeous tree just outside the entrance. I love the color of the leaves.

We've entered the town.

Loved the name/sign/look of this tavern

The gate outside the Canterbury Cathedral. I kinda thought that statue made Jesus look like a zombie

I think zombie Jesus had a Starbuck put in to lure victims near so he could eat their brains!

The other side of the zombie Jesus gate

The Cathedral. We weren't able to take any pictures outside. It was lovely to walk through, especially since the choir was rehearsing with a string quartet.

This way for ladies, men, batteries, and dancing babies

The courtyard of the Cathedral

I call the type of hat I am wearing, a jaunty cap. Dan convinced me to do a jaunty jig in my jaunty cap and now it is his favorite picture of me ever.

I can't believe I just did that!

Just walk away, just walk away

The square outside the cathedral. We loved the little shops around there. The thing in the middle is a war memorial. It looks like they just keep adding to the top every time there is a world war.

An adorable building

More cute architecture

Cute little side canal

Another adorable church

We finally got to eat some fish and chips

Yummy!!!
