welcome back! :)

Never read the books, tho know a few people who have and enjoyed them enough. The main male lead puts me off watching the films. Saw half of the first one and had to turn it off :/ I think it might be his hair lol ;)

Have you noticed how vampires have changed over the years. Back with Nosferatu they were evil, the source of all things bad. look out, the vampires will kill you. Now they are shown as heroes, saviours, the lovable rogue. Wearing kool shades.

I wonder what it was in society that prompted that change...

TY!!

The books are good as a light read, sort of like all of Nora Roberts books.Fluffy and airy, fun, no real literary value. Cause lets be honest we don't wanna read things like the "The art of war" everyday. We need some levity in our lives. And the Twilight books are like that.

LOL Tha faux hawk was too much for you? Yes the male lead is kinda ugh. But the lead female's emotional one note ness is of epic. But this third movie was not bad. But I think the first two HAVE to be seen to get it.

Usually vampire movies tend to go one of two ways. The way of Nosferatu or the way of Dracula. Dracula was the first to go with the vampire as not a monster looking thing but as a ladies man, charming yet deadly.

IDK maybe it's the whole antihero thing. It happened with comic books the hero became darker and edgier so I guess it's the natural progression. IDK Maybe it's the whole concept. Immortals, wise, beautiful, unpredictable with underlining danger.
