Who: Jo Harvelle and Riley Finn
What: A chance encounter while hunting shit.
When: ... sometime. WHENEVER WE WANT.
Where: Placerville, California

[It's been months since she's heard from either of the Winchesters, months since she took off from Duluth and joined up with her mother at a motel in Nebraska. She had wanted to stay for her mother's sake, but couldn't fight the desire to be out hunting and doing something she's good at, so it's early one morning that Jo slips away again. It doesn't take her long to find word of a case, and three days later she finds herself in California.

Placerville, California to be exact.

It's a town that has rumors online of being haunted, but recent word of kids being attacked and often killed, with puncture wounds to multiple locations. Figuring it's a nest of vampires that needs taking care of, Jo checks in to a creepy old motel right off of Main Street and promptly gets to making the rounds.

The whole street is filled with old buildings, and Jo passes over the shops for now and chooses to go into anyplace that has a bar instead. She hits up a sports bar first, and doesn't find anything there but young rich people with too much money and time to burn. Next is a coffee bar, which she hopes will have some weirder internet people who're into the city's urban legends, but all she gets are more young rich people with too much money and time to burn.

It's after dark when she finally makes her way back toward the center of Main Street, and into a bar that only opens after the rest of the town seems to die. She's not surprised to see it packed full of people, most of them idiot men who are too drunk and too loud for her to bother questioning, and she makes her way straight toward the bartender. She ignores any glances she gets from people around her as she calls out to the bartender for a beer, and puts on her best cute and innocent act so she can keep the guy's attention long enough to whisper sweet nothings questions in his ear.

Apparently this sends the wrong message, as it manages to end with her ass being slapped by a random dick who thinks she looks easy, and a punch being thrown on her part, which ends up with the idiot who touched her passed out and his friends rushing over to tower over her and look comically intimidating.

But don't worry, Jo's ready for a barfight. She even has a bottle to do it with. All she wants to do is get answers about the vampires and the kids being bitten by them, is that so much to ask?

She guesses so, as she quickly finds herself taking swings at the guys gathered around her, even the ones who are trying to restrain her for "her own good". What can she say, she's a scrapper.]
