I'm sitting on the front porch of my host's house. The blue sky is peeking through tall puffy white clouds. The neighbor next door is picking corn from the 10 stalks growing in her front yard. Jessi graduated and I cried. It was wonderful to see her there, beaming in that seat, walking proud and accomplished. Summa Cum Laude. Her party was the most fun I've had in months, I think besides Stef's poker party. My surgery went fine, I've been in my house for a week and I think I am finally, officially, insane. I wasn't allowed to drive or leave the house, and hernia surgery doesn't leave you with much desire to even sit up.
