Thanks! It's not going to be unfortunately, he's getting a referral for a scan and then possibly surgery after that. Bleh.

I made him a nice black and red bracelet and wrapped it as tacky as I could, pink tissuepaper with clear wrapping covered in hearts. It should make him laugh.
