Our new house will have all hard floors - mostly hardwood plus probably vinyl in the kitchen - maybe tile (plus obviously some area rugs). I'm looking for good cleaning solutions. I'd planned on one of these Read more... )
I have one, it works well but I don't love it. My mom got it for me. We don't have pets so the vaccume part doesn't get used too much. Actually I perfer to just use my swiffer wet jet, it is lighter and no cord!
I'd try out the wet jet and if that isn't enough then step up to one.
They are nice, but I don't HAVE to have it...and even when we had our duplex I only used it once a month or so to deep clean the hardwood (living/bedrooms) and the linolium (Kitchen/bath)
I have a Swiffer but I didn't feel like it worked super well - on the other hand I was using it on the nasty old linoneum that we used to have in our kitchen so it might not have been the Swiffer's fault - that floor was beyond help. The cleaning stuff is pricey though. Hmm...since I have it already it might be a good place to start.
